| Mark Dawes Opening Dawes
Mark arrived on the island from The Midlands four years ago with very little
assistance from the existing entertainment agencies already set up here, but
with the aid of his partner, Musicosuzy with PR and Muti Media skills started
working from Magaluf the south side of the island. After a few months leaving
the area and moving up to Port Alcudia, the east side of the island meeting
Spanish friends. Mark now finds himself working continually with thousands of
tourists every summer, and the rock bands of the locals and many other
nationalities who, live here during the winter months, with his mate James.
Mark is known to the tourists as 'Jimmy Mix It', as a look-alike of Jimmy
Savile (not intentionally) and is known to the locals as Marko the Daddy of
Rock. He has terrific vocal range and can sing anything to a superior
professional standard. Mark's favorite is rock such as Bon Jovi, Guns & Roses,
Van Halam, Deep Purple, Joe Cocker, Meatloaf, Elton John, The Stones and much
more. He in addition, sings the usual Cabaret Crap, (Marks words) the regular
Elvis, Roy Orbison, Neil Diamond, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, The old hat that
has been around since the 50s and 60s. Mark is also a Soul Man singing various
songs from Otis Redding, Blues Brothers, Sam & Dave, The four Tops and not
forgetting Mr. Tom Jones, and many hit songs of the 70s, 80s, 90s, up to modern
day.
He is a comedian at heart, making his Audience participate and laugh their socks
off, young, old, and the dirty, Mark is truly The Front Man, and the all
around entertainer. Partner Suzy too, on occasions sings along with Mark during
the show, their voices compliment each other.
Apart from the Mark Dawes road show, Suzy who is the PA controlling the sound
equipment provides an excellent combination of the latest sounds, for our Disco
and we carry 12,000 Karaoke tracks English and Spanish, for all tourists to
enjoy and become stars in their own right.
Our equipment is first class with kits to fill a venue, indoors or outdoors
large or small. Mark is currently a resident entertainer, at the London Bar in
Port Alcudia, completing over 300 shows a year, the atmosphere is brilliant.
This summer he is introducing his keyboard skills into the show. Mark lives
for music and entertainment, so 300 shows during the year, does not stop him for
any other offers that come available for gigs, or sound installations, during
the daytime hours either morning or early afternoons.
We are currently building The London Bar website, and developing our agency
Rock on Rock. This will enable Venues in Mallorca to book entertainers of
first class quality from around the world starting from the summer season of
next year, (2007) with a massive data base of acts drawn from musicians and
other acts global.
Mark's Afterthoughts
Mark would like to wish all the entertainers here in Mallorca a happy 2006
summer season including the seven Elviss the twelve Neil Diamonds, The three
tenners, the five euros and Robin Hood and his little Arrows (Mark wants his
wig back)
